In 1997, siblings Rodney and Joanne Teopengco formed Info-X Technology Co. and began their operations at the comfort of their home working with only 1 computer. The Internet was still a baby in the Philippines at that time. The vision came about when Rodney, after working with IBM Internet, saw the vast opportunity in the Internet.
Info-X Technology provided both Internet and networking solutions, catering mostly to the German-owned companies in the beginning. Between 1997-1998, they were outsourced by Rodney's previous company based in Hong Kong to do website development projects for the principal's foreign clients.
Info-x have grown and client portfolio expanded; acquired new staff and technical people and upgraded technology to better serve the needs and the demands of the Internet revolution in the Philippines.
In February 2000, The Websense Group Inc. was incorporated - focusing mainly on providing e-business solutions. The company moved from SOHO to a new office away from the hustle and bustle of the business districts with 6 core employees.
Today, the company is consisted of 11 highly capable people dedicated to the vision, objectives and values of The Websense Group Inc. We have gained strength in developing web applications especially e-commerce solutions and has established a good client base over the years.
Though our name has changed from Info-X Technology to The Websense Group Inc., our commitment to our clients hasn't. The Websense Group Inc. will continue to innovate our services to help our clients make better sense of e-business.
